So tomorrow morning is the last time I will see my brother in a long time.

Friday he leaves on his way to Virginia, for the next chapter of his life. And I’m seriously overflowing with happiness and I’m so proud of him, but at the same time…I wish he could stay. I’m going to miss him so much. I remember when I found out he’d be moving to Virginia, for sure. I was on the phone with my mom and she dropped it on me. The second I found out I was filled with so many emotions; happiness and pride because I know he worked so so hard for this and he truly deserves it, and yet tears poured out of me at the same time, knowing what that meant, that he would be so far away. & its not even like hes just going away for school & that I’d see him on breaks and stuff, he’s going there to make a life, to start his life. I mean who knows how long he’ll be there before he goes somewhere else, but potentially years, many years if it works out. & that absolutely crushed me everytime I think of it, and now as I type this, the tears welling up in my eyes. I love him & look up to him so so much and I just want him here, with us, with me. But I know that it’s whats best for him and that he really does deserve this wonderful opportunity of a job and I know its what he wants and that makes it a little easier on me. But man am I gunna miss that crazy, goofy, guy. I’m gunna miss him so damn much.

So don’t take your siblings for granted, because someday they won’t live right down the hall, or even an hour away (like I got used to), someday they’re gunna grow up and move away. So cherish them while they are there, & love them when they’re gone.
